Diya is a 14-year-old singer-songwriter from the UK whose passion for music has been evident since a young age. Starting her musical journey as a Western classical singer at the age of six, Diya has explored various genres, ultimately finding her voice in soul pop, chill house, and dream pop. Inspired by artists like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, she began writing her own songs, blending her classical training with contemporary influences.
Diya’s dedication to her craft is reflected in her achievements, having attained distinction in all her singing and piano grades. Currently pursuing her Grade 6 ABRSM Classical Singing and Grade 6 ABRSM Piano, she continues to build a strong foundation for her evolving sound. Her unique ability to fuse classical elements with modern styles sets her apart, making her a promising young talent in the music industry.
Diya's Journey from Awards to Acclaimed Collaborations
Diya has achieved distinction in all her singing and piano grades and is currently pursuing her Grade 6 ABRSM Classical Singing and Grade 6 ABRSM Piano. During the lockdown, her talent shone brightly when she won the global singing competition, “Take the Mic.” This victory granted her the opportunity to work with Australian producer James North, leading to the creation of her first single, “Bulletproof.” The song delves into themes of isolation and self-confidence, encouraging listeners to step out of their comfort zones and pursue their dreams.
Diya’s journey continued to ascend as she recently collaborated with Grammy Award-winning producer Jimmy Napes, known for his work with Sam Smith and H.E.R. Together, they created the single “Blow the Blue Away,” a song about overcoming anxiety and finding support in the people around you. Through her music, Diya aims not only to share her own voice but to give others a platform to express themselves as well.

Aside from music, Diya is also a talented author. Her enchanting children’s mystery book, “The Book of Lost Secrets,” invites children to get lost in a world of magic and mystery. Ideal for kids aged 8-11, this book features gorgeous illustrations and is printed using soya inks on recycled papers made of 100% cotton waste, certified by GRS (Global Recycled Standard).
